Financial and Operational Manager

Job Position

The Finance and Operational Manager is in charge to ensure effective, high quality, harmonized and compliant Finance/Admin and HR services delivery within all Bluesquare offices, through supervision, guidance and strengthening of existing structures. The person is an integral part of the Finance and Admin Team, reporting directly to the CFO. 

Location: Brussels. You may be expected to travel to other countries where Bluesquare is working.

Team: We are a horizontal company with more than 60 team members in multiple countries. You are part of the admin team. We value ownership, autonomy, flexibility, communication and teamwork.

Roles & responsibilities   

Your scope of responsibilities spans from analytical tasks to solving daily practical problems, more specifically:

  • Ensure that appropriate and harmonized Finance and HR set up are in place and followed up. 
  • Keep updated about the local labor laws, local taxes and contributions.
  • Coordinate and manage offices, insurances and contracts for our team members working in and outside of Brussels
  • Develop staff care and staff capacity building policy.
  • Take the lead on the yearly review of medical insurances and staff coverages
  • Be the focal point during onboarding and offboarding processes for team members. 



  • Bachelor degree in a relevant field
  • Excellent oral and writing skills in English and French
  • At least 3 year experience in an admin, finance or HR coordination position
  • Excellent excel skills


  • Experience with an NGO or consultancy 
  • Experience working in an international company
  • Know-how of tools like G-Suite, Odoo, SD Works 

Soft skills:

  • A collaborative attitude both inside and outside the department
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to work autonomously
  • Organised, structured with attention to detail
