Senior Project Manager (Niger)

Job position

Bluesquare is involved in Niger in multiple projects in support of the Ministry of Health (MOH). We are increasingly becoming a key partner for the improvement of the national mapping of the health system, and for the integration of data on malaria and maternal and child health.

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager in Niger to join our local team and:

  • Coordinate and deliver current projects: you will have regular contact with our clients and partners in Niger and will ensure projects are meeting expectations
  • Represent Bluesquare in strategic meetings with partners
  • Orient Bluesquare strategy in the country

Location: Niamey. You may be expected to travel to other countries where Bluesquare is working.

Roles & responsibilities

  • Coordinate Bluesquare’s team in Niamey
  • Ensure Bluesquare’s involvement with the MOH is well understood and shared by all partners in Niger.
  • Present Bluesquare’s technical contribution to the MOH and orient decisions and discussions around our involvement.
  • Ensure projects are being delivered on time and to the satisfaction of clients
  • Contribute to the development of new tools
  • Additional responsibilities
    • Contribute to the development of new projects in Niger
    • Represent Bluesquare to meetings or conferences in and outside of Niger

Projects in which you could be involved

  • Development of dashboards for disease surveillance (including Malaria)
  • Support Ministries of Health in the analysis of Maternal Health data and set up actionable dashboards at national level
  • Improve geospatial data: location of facilities (health, education), localities, population distribution, administrative contours, etc
  • Support digital campaign monitoring


  • Required
    • Master degree in Engineering, statistics, public health or economics
    • At least 5 years experience working in managing complex projects – preferentially in Niger
    • Experience with data analysis and reporting and working knowledge of data visualization software
    • Experience working with geospatial data
    • Fluent in French
  • Preferred
    • Working experience in Global health, Health financing or Monitoring and Evaluation in another sector
    • Understanding of the Global Health actors and ecosystem
    • Experience with DHIS2 and ODK
    • Fluent in English
