The Role
We are looking for a Community & Knowledge Manager who is part facilitator, part technical writer, and part network builder. You will be at the centre of our communities, ensuring that our key partners have the resources, support and regular exchanges they need.
Location: Remote (Africa or Europe time zones preferred) / Brussels preferred
Contract: FullTime (1.0 FTE)

Key Responsibilities
Lead and moderate discussions across Bluesquare thematic communities (Malaria Sub National Tailoring, Health Financing, Campaign Digitalization, One Health, Georegistry, and others if identified relevant) and product (IASO, OpenHEXA) user communities.
1. Community Engagement & Network Building
- Organize and host regular community calls, webinars, and technical deep-dives.
- Identify and mobilize key influencers and organizations across various communities and solicit them for regular updates and community exchanges and interactions
- Lead the planning of virtual and occasional in-person events that encourage peer-to-peer learning and showcase Bluesquare’s expertise.
2. Software User Engagement (IASO & OpenHEXA)
- Translate product developments and releases into clear and engaging external communications (newsletters, webinars, blog posts, release notes) to keep users informed and engaged.
- Grow and activate the global user communities around IASO and OpenHEXA by organizing demos, user exchanges, and showcasing real-world implementations and best practices.
- Act as a bridge between users and product teams by gathering community feedback and insights to inform product improvements and strengthen the ecosystem around our platforms.
3. Internal Coordination & Events organization support
- Ensure the production and dissemination of relevant content across Bluesquare communities by coordinating inputs from technical, product, and practice teams.
- Deliver well-structured thematic events (webinars, workshops, community exchanges) that support knowledge sharing and Bluesquare’s positioning in the global health ecosystem.
- Oversee the planning and delivery of community events, including their operational and budgetary management.
4. Documentation & Knowledge Management
- Translate complex technical features into user-friendly documentation, “How-to” guides, and FAQs. You will work closely with the Communication and Marketing team to ensure this content is seamlessly integrated into our websites and documentation hubs.
- Collaborate with internal Practice Leads and Product Managers to curate technical content. You will partner with the Communications and Marketing team to ensure these insights are amplified through targeted social media and community-specific communication channels.
5. Strategic Growth & Positioning
- Explore opportunities to align community activities with donor-funded projects (e.g., World Bank, Global Fund) to ensure the long-term viability of our networks.
- Lead the positioning of Bluesquare as a reference actor in the Global Health space by ensuring our Communities of Practice remain vibrant and expert-led.
Profile
- Experience: 3–5 years in community management, technical communication, or project coordination within the Global Health, International Development, or ICT4D sectors.
- Collaboration: A natural team player who can coordinate across different functions (Technical, Marketing, and Project Management).
- Languages: Fluency in both English and French is essential. You must be comfortable facilitating meetings and writing documentation in both languages.
- Communication: Exceptional writing and moderation skills. You can make technical topics feel accessible and engaging.
- Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with community & event tools (Hubspot, Forums, Zoom Webinar or other tools) and documentation platforms (Notion, Wikis, etc).
